Nestled in the volcanic highlands of Los Santos at 1,800 meters above sea level, the El Cedro family has been cultivating coffee for three generations on their 12-hectare farm, Finca Vista Hermosa. This year, their meticulous dedication to quality earned them a coveted spot in the top 10 of Costa Rica's prestigious Cup of Excellence competition.

Their winning lot—a washed Geisha varietal—showcases the unique terroir of Los Santos' cool nights and mineral-rich volcanic soil. The family's careful processing method involves a 36-hour fermentation followed by slow drying on raised beds for 15-18 days, allowing the coffee's delicate floral and citrus notes to fully develop.
